Denizli (Pamukkale)
Denizli City is one of the most developed provinces of Turkey in the fields of industry, trade, agriculture, tourism, education, culture and arts. Its population is abbout 1,040,915 as of 2020. It is visited by many visitors with its textile products, Pamukkale Travertines, Hierapolis Ancient city, Leaodikiya historical places.

The original city was Laodicaea (Laodicaea), 6-7 kilometers north from Denizli center. Laodikeia, which was destroyed as a result of the wars between the Seljuks and the Byzantines and especially the waterways were destroyed, began to be abandoned in time and the settlement began in the 11th century, and Denizli, where there are abundant water resources, started to move towards Ladik. The city suffered great damage during an earthquake in 1702-1703 and was later rebuilt.
It is among the most important capitals of textile in the world. In addition, Serinhisar district meets 85% of Turkey's need for roasted chickpea and roasted chickpea products. Denizli is among the 10 largest economies of Turkey. Kent enjoys good prestige in the American and European Union market for towels, bathrobes and home textiles. Its weather and nature reflect the averages of the Aegean Region. There are rooster sculptures at several points in the city. The world-known natural wonder Pamukkale Travertines is also one of the symbols of the city. Pamukkale is on UNESCO's world cultural heritage list. Karahayıt is also an international thermal center.
